About Me
I am a UX designer, front-end developer and video editor with a passion for all things digital.
Through my projects and professional experiences, I have looked at websites from many perspectives:
- As a designer who wants the site to be as user-friendly as possible.
- As a coder who wants the JavaScript to work without errors.
- As an accessibility tester who wants the site to meet the needs of users with disabilities.
- As a content producer who wants to catch users' attention with engaging stories.
- ...and as the end user, seeing the site for the first time, eager to find needed information.
I strive to help all these people understand each other's perspectives, through clear communication and cross-functional collaboration.
Deft Designer
I have mastered the entire UX design process, from user research and ideation to prototyping and usability testing.
I am proficient in Figma, and Adobe XD.
For my Google UX Professional Certificate projects, I interviewed users to discover their needs, and wireframed designs that would solve their problems. I watched users closely as they tested my wireframes, and redesigned features that they struggled to use.

Dutiful Developer
As a front-end developer for Learning Ally, I used my knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript to update pages, edit stylesheets, debug forms, and perform other tasks on the organization's content management system.
When Learning Ally updated their website's theming, I restyled old web pages to match the current style guide. And when the organization wanted to update from Bootstrap 3 to 4, I researched and presented on the most efficient way to do that.
Accessibility Advocate
I understand the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines front-to-back. I can test for keyboard navigability in the browser, and can use my phone's screen reader to see how a site appears to blind users.
From responsive design to color contrast to image descriptions, I am a thorough advocate for the features that bring sites to life for people with disabilites.
Vibrant Video Editor
As an experienced Premiere Pro and After Effects user, I bring facts and stories to life through the medium of video. From timing and audio mixing to motion graphics, I focus on every aspect of what makes a video great.
When editing a recent video for the Family Resource Network, I scoured interview footage to find the quotes that would best accentuate the organization's message. I then used visual aids and motion graphics to ensure that the video was as eye-catching and attention-grabbing as possible.
